It is an Innovation and Technology Fund (ITF) project. The scanner is used for capturing three dimensional body images with high resolution by laser scanning. The data obtained will be used in garment industry.
Technology
It consists of three sub-systems which are linked together at an angle of 120degree to each other.

A total of 12 laser scanning modules have been used in the production of two laser rings for profile scanning. Each scanning module has a vertical travel of 1 meter. Engineering design was done by using SolidWorks. Mastercam had been used in the fabrication of the major mechanical components
